Choosing the right musician
Start with the moment you want to set to music: background music for drinks, a highlight during a ceremony, or a dance party. A soloist or duo is enough alongside conversation; a band or a DJ is the choice as soon as people should dance.
The fee mainly depends on the line-up (solo, duo, full band), the playing time, travel, the equipment to bring (PA, lighting, piano) and the date: Saturdays from May to September and the end-of-year season are the most requested. Give a budget range in your request and artists reply with a precise fee.
Before booking, check the practical side: venue access, power socket, playing space, schedule and set-up time, a meal for the musicians if needed. Put them in your request to avoid surprises on the day.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find a musician for a party?
Post your event on AskFor.Music with the date, location and style you want. Available musicians send you their proposals, and you book the one that fits.
How much does a musician cost for an event?
There is no single rate: the fee depends on the line-up, playing time, travel, equipment and date (summer Saturdays are the most requested). Each artist shows a range on their profile and you receive a precise offer for your request.
How are the musicians selected?
Artists create and publish their profile; our team reviews published profiles and removes those that break the terms. Reviews left after each performance help you choose.
