Booking a DJ: the right questions
State the number of guests, the room size and the mood (80s, current hits, Latin, electronic): the DJ sizes the equipment and the selection accordingly.
Share a list of must-plays and a do-not-play list. For a wedding, mention the key moments: the couple's entrance, the cake, the first dance.
The fee mainly depends on the line-up (solo, duo, full band), the playing time, travel, the equipment to bring (PA, lighting, piano) and the date: Saturdays from May to September and the end-of-year season are the most requested. Give a budget range in your request and artists reply with a precise fee.
